The area is guarded by a private security firm, and it is a safe and quiet area, which is why many of Malaga's business elite, sports stars and others are living in this particular area.
There is a shopping centre at the entrance to Reserva del Higueron, which includes Carrefour Supermarket, newsagent, hairdresser, pharmacy, restaurants, Spanish tapas bars, and if this is not enough, a FREE train pick-up service runs up and down to the seafront for the residents of the area.

A brisk walk from the house or a short drive will either take you to the sea front, where you can enjoy the lively nightlife, or dine at one of the many good restaurants, or lead you to Benalmádena Pueblo. If you play golf, some of the world's best golf courses are within a radius of a 10-minutes’ drive from the house, which is why the area also is known as the Costa del Golf. Further, the coastal train from Malaga airport stops at the foot of the area, so you can easily get back and forth, even if you do not have a rental car.
