We are an extended family of 12 who have just returned from a week at Villa Lira in Quinta do Lago. The villa is much bigger than the photos suggest in a fabulous and sought after location close to The Shack and The Campus at Quinta. You are really at the heart of a very exclusive area with numerous smart eating venues. Five of the six double bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms which was an unexpected plus. The planted atrium in the centre of the house is beautiful. The terrace overlooking the pool was fabulous to chill out in the shade. The big kids loved the games room in the basement complete with ping pong table and pool table. We paid extra for the pool to be heated which we would highly recommend. We used the charcoal BBQ on a couple of occasions. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. We would thoroughly recommend Villa Lira to anyone looking for a holiday in this region of the Algarve. Thank you for a fabulous week.
Amazing villa - we loved not just the property. but its great location too. Thank you for all your quick responses when we had a question. We would happily book to return. FYI the downstairs ensuite bathroom lock should not be turned - it seems to have rusted internally and one of our young persons got stuck for a number of minutes before eventually managing to open it. A child would not have been able to do this. We have already alerted you to a leak in the downstairs shower (not ensuite but next to the garage). |

The wifi is truly awful. Works a bit on the ground floor. No wifi anywhere on lower ground and very patchy upstairs. Being in beautiful Portugal isn't about having wifi, but in this day and age it is a necessity to have wifi access throughout a home.Смотреть ещё

A few of the tempur mattresses aren't to our taste and get very hot.

The vegetated courtyard was a beautiful feature that can be seen in all the common areas. Games room downstairs was a fun addition. Great location amongst other lovely villas and fairly close to the beach. Host was very responsive and helpful.

It smelled musty throughout -perhaps the windows should have been left open to air the place A better equipped kitchen - it had one chair despite picture showing three It had one dish cloth and one drying cloth We were five guests There wasn't even saltpepper / olive oil / milk - I have stayed in many airbnbs and this was always there It was obvious that nobody lives here |

The rooms are huge with private bathrooms, there is tons of lounge space both inside and outside and we particularly loved the garden, pool, BBQ and cabana in the day and lounging on the upper deck at night. Would highly recommend.
